How to apply Annie Sloan Black Wax
Begin by sealing your Chalk Paint with a thin coat of Annie Sloan Clear Wax. This protective base allows the Black Wax to glide smoothly across the surface and gives you plenty of time to blend, soften or remove excess wax before it cures.
Using an Annie Sloan Wax Brush or a clean, lint-free cloth, apply Black Wax sparingly, concentrating on recessed areas, decorative mouldings and textured surfaces. Blend carefully with a clean cloth until you're happy with the level of definition. Build the effect gradually for the most natural-looking finish, adding additional wax only where extra depth and contrast are required.
